Mrs. Kosinski's Apple Cake
2 sticks margarine 1 stick butter 4 eggs 3 cups flour vanilla 1 envelope Oetker baking powder (equals 5 t. regular baking powder) 2 tbl. sour cream 4 large apples (can use peaches as substitute)
Cream sugar, margarine and butter. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and sour cream. It will be a soft dough. Spread dough in a 13x9x2 pan (with non-stick spray). Slice apples and push into dough.
Topping: 1 stick butter 1 c. flour 1 c. sugar (1/2 brown sugar)
Mix it together until it turns crumbly. Spread on top of apples.
Bake at 350 until toothpick comes out clean (about 40 minutes)
